October is a time when fall is in full swing and the holiday season is just beginning. That means Pittsburgh will be full of annual events and festivals for the masses. Here are some October events in Pittsburgh recommended by us here at Joe Ball GMC that you won’t want to miss out on!
Italian Heritage Day
Did you know that October is Italian Heritage Month? Italian Heritage Day takes place on October 1st at 10 a.m. at the Heinz History Center. Local groups and museum staff will host educational activities that teach visitors about Italian-American history and culture.
Enter the Imaginarium
Located just 20 minutes from Pittsburgh, Enter the Imaginarium pits creative minds against an immersive escape room. Those taking part will need to solve puzzles and use their observation skills to escape the room.
Emmaus Spirit Run Costume 5K
The 4th Annual Emmaus Spirit Run Costume 5K takes place on October 15th at 7:30 a.m. Participants are to wear their favorite costume as they run along the South Shore Riverfront Park. The run consists of a 5K loop. Families, especially those with children, can take part in a one-mile fun walk. All proceeds benefit the Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh, an organization that helps those with intellectual disabilities.
There’s seemingly an event on every corner in Pittsburgh. Join in on the fun this fall!
